How To Measure The Width And Height Of Any Element In Mozilla Firefox

Today's post of mine is about a web designing tool. This tool helps in measuring the accurate width and height of any element on any web page. No need to first download the file and then view its size. With MeasureIt, simply draw a ruler across any webpage to check the width, height, or alignment of page elements in pixels.

How to use it :

First install MeasureIt from here and restart your browser.

Now suppose, I want to know the exact size of my 84Productions logo, first click on the MeasureIt sign at the left bottom of Mozilla Firefox window. Have a look :

Now click and drag the ruler to select the 84Productions logo and it will automatically show you the exact width and height in pixels of the selected image.

Create Your Own Autoplay Menus For Windows XP Vista And All Other Multimedia Applications

In my last posts I told you about Tweaking Windows XP and now I am going to tell you that how can create your own auotplay menu for Windows XP and Windows Vista.

Few months back I was planning to make my own unattended Windows XP version but due to my exams I dropped that idea.

You might have seen many unattended Windows version like Crystal XP, Windows XP Dark Edition, Black Edition Windows XP and alot more...

How To Create GTalk Themes !!

Yesterday I was just checking Google Talk Program Files and came across a new method to create GTalk themes. I thought to share it with you all that is why I am writing this post.

Here I am going to tell you that how you can create your own GTalk themes.

So let start :

First open your C drive and go to Tools, in the upper horizontal bar and select Folder Options. In the View tab put a tick on Show Hidden Files and Folders and click on Apply and then OK. After doing this navigate to

C>>Documents and Settings>>profile name>>Local Settings>>Application Data>>Google>>Google Talk>>themes>>system>>chat

In the Chat folder you will see about 10-11 default themes. Now select a particular theme and double click on it and go to Contents>>Resources

In the Resources folder you will see main.css file. The main.css is the file which helps in defining the look of the GTalk theme.

Now to create your own theme you have to edit main.css file. Just open it with Notepad and you can add your own images, change colours and can do alot of changes.

After editing open your GTalk and go to Settings>>Appearance and select the theme you have edited.

Congrats !! You have successfully created a new theme.
