When I just started this blog I used to upload files on Freeweb7. The links were working well for about 2-3 months but after that Freeweb7 server went down and I was facing a lot of problem with broken links. Visitors that come from search engines used to complain me about them.
Here is a simple tool called Xenu's Link Sleuth that checks Web sites for broken links. Link verification is done on "normal" links, images, frames, plug-ins, backgrounds, local image maps, style sheets, scripts and java applets. It displays a continously updated list of URLs which you can sort by different criteria. A report can be produced at any time.
If you have a small blog you must run this application once and test for broken links on your blog/site.
How to use it :
1) First download Xenu from here
2) Now install it. After installing it, open it and at the top bar click on File and then select CheckURL.3) Now enter your blog/site URL, select your desired options and then click on OK. Have a look :
4) After pressing OK, it will automatically tell you about the broken links in your blog/site.
