How Not To Get Ban From Google Adsense : Part 1

Here is a quick working tip on how not to get ban from Google Adsense. Due to lack of knowledge and ignorance, new Adsense publishers get their account ban from Google.

Google is very strict about its rules and regulations and we should keep in mind that Google is far smartter than us and we cannot fool it. So before using any service online try to get more nd more information about it. Lets come back to Google Adsense.

If you have a blog/site/forum, just make sure that :

a) Google hates Wares : Always make sure that your site should not be contains illegal stuff like pirated softwares, games, movies. Cracks, keygens and serials are all pirated stuff and Google really hates it. If you want to start a new blog please do not select this niche.

b) Google Hates Wares Linking : Never ever include link to that page in your blog/site that has pirated stuff. Yes ! even linking to pirated stuff is against Google TOS.

How To Change The Fonts Of The Text In Ad Units : Google Adsense Update

The most awaited update in Google Adsense is enabled now. Now you can easily customize Google Ads by changing the font face of the text in ad units on pages in Latin-character languages. Currently, they have provided 3 font faces :

Arial
Times
Verdana

How to change the fonts :

There are 2 ways to customize ad fonts :

Method 1 : To change fonts for every ad unit

1) First login to your Adsense account and in the top bar click on My Account and select Account Settings.

2) Click on edit beside Ad Display Preference.

3) Now from the drop down menu list, select your desired font and click on Save Changes at the bottom.

From now the fonts will be changed for all your ad unit ads.

Method 2 : To change fonts for individual ad unit

If you want to change the font face for an individual ad unit, here is a simple tutorial.

1) First log in to your Adsense account and at the top click on Adsense Setup.

2) If you want to make a new ad unit then click on Get Ads else click on Manage Ads.

If you have selected Get Ads :

2.1) Click on AdSense for Content, select your ad unit and then click on Continue. Please note that this update is only for Ad Unit, not for Link Unit.

2.2) Now select your ad format, color and this time you will see a new option called Fonts.

Just select your desired fonts and at the bottom click on Continue. The rest of the procedure is the same as old.

If you have selected Manage Ads :

2.3) Select the ad unit that you want to change. Then in the right hand side of that ad click on Edit Ad Settings »

2.4) Now follow step 2.2

Triple Your Adsense Earnings With A Simple Trick

When it comes to Adsense I always try to share my own experience with you all. I keep on experimenting with the ads on my blog and then share my experience.
And today I am here to tell you about a simple trick that will surely increase your income.

Note : Please, do not miss this post, read it once, apply it and you will surely get a benefit out of it. Lets start :

It should be kept in mind that the ads, that are at the top of the web page pays more. Yes, you read it right. As we all know that we are allowed to place 3 ad units in a single page, so the topmost ad should be placed there, where the possibility of clicks is more. Lets analyze this with an example.

Below is a 2 column template with a header . Its a simple ad format that most of the bloggers use. Have a look :

In the above format there are 3 ads :

Ad number 1 : Its a 468 x 60 ad format that is placed at the top i.e in the header.
Ad number 2 : Its a (468x15) ad format the displays up to 5 links and looks like a navigation bar.
Ad number 3 : Its same as ad number 1 i.e 468 x 60 ad format and is placed at the bottom of the web page.

Now, we can see that the ad number 1 is placed at the top, it means that it will pay more than other two ads. But the problem is that the probability of getting clicks on ad 1 is less than ad 2. If we see the image again, we will analyze that the ad number 2 looks like a navigation bar i.e menu bar, so getting clicks on it is much more than ad number 1.

And at last ad number 3 is at the bottom will pay much less than other 2 ads. So, according to me its a wrong format of placing ads.

The bottom line is, always place that ad at the top which has more possibility of getting clicks. So in order to get more revenue the ad should be placed like this :

Say No To Google Ads Under Menu And Drop Down Links

Its been a long time I am using Google Adsense. I lost my Google Adsense account once but luckily got it back. You can read this story on DevilsWorkshop that how I got my Adsense account back in 14 days. If you use Google Adsense service, you should read its TOS first and then move further. I was reading the Google Adsense blog today and was shocked to read that we cannot place Google Ads :

a) In close proximity to Macromedia Flash games
b) Under pop-ups or download prompts
c) Near site navigation controls on your pages, such as drop-downs or menu links

Google says that they do not want accidental clicks on their ads but they want that users should only click on Google ads in which they’re interested. Below is the screenshot of the actual wording on their blog :

I'll explain the 3 points in brief :

1) Flash Games : As flash games requires mouse clicks, so Google warned users to place Ads in flash games as users can click on ads accidentally.

2) Downloads : You cannot put Google ads near downloads.

3) Site Navigation : You cannot put Google Ads under menu links and drop down menu.

I've also placed the text ads under Menu Links. I was a bit confused today what to do. Should I remove the ads or not ? I searched the Adsense blog and at last found a solution.

Solution :

The bottom line is that we are allowed to put Google ads under menu links. For example you can see Labnol and DevilsWorkshop blog.

These are the acceptable formats. Some more example of acceptable formats are :

Now we move on to some unacceptable formats of placing ads :

If a drop down menu link gets over the Google ads, then its an unacceptable format of placing ad because a user can click on Ad accidentally. For more clarification have a look at the image below :

If you are using the above ad format please remove it as soon as possible because Google will not give you another chance.

How To Place Google Ads In Middle Of The Post In Blogger

All you are aware that Google ads can be placed at the top and bottom of the post. Placing ads here gets a lot of clicks thus resulting in more revenue. But there is a way to put Google ads in the middle of the post. According to me its the most profitable area to put ads.

Yesterday I edited my template and placed 468 x 60 size text ad in the middle of the posts to check the difference in my clicks. When today I opened my Adsense account I was surprised to see that my number of clicks were doubled.

How to put ads in the middle of the post : http://adsinthemiddle.blogspot.com is a blog that tells the procedure in detail about inserting ads in the middle of your post. It also covers some FAQ's about what Google says about such placement of ads.

Merits of placing ads in middle :

If your blog gets much traffic then its good to place ads in the middle. It will surely increase your earnings.
If you are concerned only about making money then it will be a good idea to place ads in the middle of post.

Demerits of placing ads in the middle :

If your blog is young and has limited traffic do not try this hack as its will increase your Page CTR to a very high number. Google can ban your account if Page CTR reaches very high.
This format of ads cuts the HTML code and ruins the beauty of your article. This does not creates a good impact on the new visitors of your blog.

Gmail Labs Comes With A New Feature : Stop Sending Mail You Later Regret

Google Labs recently started a new feature known as Mail Goggles which helps you not to send emails when you are drunk or tired ! Sounds interesting !

How to enable this service : To activate this service go to Gmail>> Settings >> Labs and enable Mail Goggles and click Save Changes.

Now go to General tab and set your date, time and days and again click on Save Changes.

I am not any expert or professional, I only write from my own experience and today I am going to tell you a quick tip with which you will surely increase your Adsense Earnings.

People think that by keeping more ads on their blog/site they will get them more clicks and they are ofcourse right !! But the question is how much will they earn with those clicks. ??

Error While Trying To Save You Adsense For Search Settings. Please Try Again Later : Google Adsense

Yesterday I was editing my Google Search Engine and finally when I was trying to save it I got the following error

"Error While Trying To Save You Adsense For Search Settings. Please Try Again Later"

I tried n tried n tried and this error was coming again and again.This might happen to you also so here is the solution for it.

As we all know that Mozilla Firefox is known as the best,safe and fastest Internet Browser ever but the above error comes because of Mozilla Firefox only.

Latest Mozilla Firefox 3 has a bug in it and that is why the error was coming.

So whenever this error comes just shift your browser from Mozilla Firefox to Internet Explorer or Opera.

I wrote this problem to Mozilla, hope the bug will be fixed soon.
